The Sporting Memories Network is an organisation which works in partnership with a range of individuals, groups and agencies, both statutory and voluntary, to promote the benefits and values of using sporting memories to promote and improve the quality of life, self-esteem, mental health and general well-being of people, groups and communities. We engage particularly with people at risk of being marginalised, socially isolated or made vulnerable through ill-health, disability or age. The work and activities of the Network provide benefits by raising awareness and developing training that improves, sustains and enhances the quality of life, care and personal support delivered to individuals, groups and communities through the interactive use of sporting memorabilia, artefacts and other relevant primary sources and building on existing personal experiences.
