Here at Sporting Memories, we’re grateful for the support of our sponsors, who help us to ensure our work across England, Scotland and Wales continues to help our club members.

Our sponsors support us in many wonderfully unique and brilliant way including to help start new clubs, host taster sessions, hold events within the local community and help us to store and collect pieces of sporting memorabilia which are shared with our members nationwide. Without their support, we simply wouldn’t be to achieve what we do with over 100 clubs across Great Britain.

Below are some brilliant examples of how sponsors have helped us.

Providing resources for clubs

Thanks to support from Reuters Images, we have been provided with thousands of high-quality images from various sports which we use for our Replay Cards – which are designed to help prompt fond memories of watching or playing sport for our clubs across Great Britain and beyond!

Keeping hold of precious Memorabilia to share

Thanks to the support of Iron Mountain EMEA, we’ve been able to store our fantastic pieces of sporting memorabilia, which have been kindly donated to us over the years. Ranging from programmes, merchandise to shirts and footballs, we have so many wonderful items we can share with our clubs across the country to engage memories of sport from moments past.

“Sporting Memories work with older people has a profound connection with me, as my mother sadly passed away whilst living with dementia just over 18 months ago. I know how vital your clubs can be to help support others who are living with dementia and their families. Especially over the last couple of years with numerous lock downs your people have volunteered and kept things going." Charlie Watt, Iron Mountain

Supporting events

Alongside their support with storage, Iron Mountain EMEA along with a series of other partners have also supported recent events held by Sporting Memories. In April 2022, they were the headline sponsor for our inaugural Scottish Volunteer Awards, which were also supported by the likes of Age Scotland, BEAR Scotland, Scottish ClubSport and together in dementia everyday.

Thanks to all of their generous donations, we were able to recognise all of our amazing volunteers across Scotland. Since the event was a huge success, we’re hoping to continue these awards in future years.
