Our congratulations to staff, members and volunteers at the Chorley and Leyland Sporting Memories Clubs at Chorley FC and Lancashire FA. The Clubs were 'Highly Commended' in this year's BBC Radio Lancashire 'Make a Difference' Awards, in the Companionship Award category.

Their hard work, dedication and compassion in their local communities during lockdown and since – along with that of the other organisations shortlisted – is fully deserving of the award and we are very proud of everyone.

Craig Goldsworthy (below) was part of the Sporting Memories Squad for this year's Great North Run. Craig is the son-in-law of our wonderful volunteer Keith McIntosh (above, right), who with fellow volunteers supports and runs Chorley and Leyland Sporting Memories Clubs – and does so much more besides. Craig has raised a fantastic amount for Sporting Memories, and we send him our thanks along with congratulations on completing the run.
