Join charities Head for Change and Sporting Memories on Friday 30 July at 3pm, for the ‘Great World Cup Get Together’. It will be 55 years to the hour since England and West Germany kicked off their 1966 World Cup final at Wembley.

In our online event we will be honouring the players of the day, and together we will share special memories and moments. There will be plenty of 1966 football chat, laughter, online activities to try out your footballing knowledge, and much more.

Be part of our audience as we celebrate a remarkable sporting moment – the legacy of which lives on through film, photography, and of course memories.

This is a free online event and everyone is welcome to attend.

John Stiles

Among our special guests will be John Stiles, former professional footballer for Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers – and now speaker, comedian and host.

John is son of England and Manchester United legend Nobby Stiles, who recently passed away having lived with dementia. A post-mortem examination confirmed that Nobby had CTE as a result of his career in football.

Text to donate

Alongside the event we are raising funds for Sporting Memories and Head for Change. If you would like to donate to our charities, please text MEMORY followed by your donation amount (e.g. MEMORY10 to donate £10) to 70085. Texts are charged at your network's standard rate plus the amount you are donating.

All donations are greatly appreciated and will be equally divided between the two charities.
