with SMN Director Tony Jameson-Allen

Huddersfield Town will use the upcoming npower Championship home clash against Derby County on 15 September to celebrate everyone's favourite football memories. Promotion of this game is being run in tandem with the Sporting Memories Network.

Full details of the activities around the game are now on the Town website

As part of the game, the Huddersfield Town are asking all fans to wear their favourite Town shirt to the game from through the years. Town fans are also being encouraged to bring down their favourite memory - whether it's a picture or a written memory - and pin it to the Club's ‘memory board', which will be located at the Stadium for the Derby game. Town will ask supporters to submit their favourite memories of their team in the run-up to and on the day of the game as the Club uses the next home fixture to raise awareness of dementia.

We are delighted to be collaborating with such a vibrant, community focused club that has a rich footballing history and really look forward to seeing all the memories the fans bring along on the day, send in or submit to the Replay Football memories website.

The first former player to submit his own footballing memory to the campaign is the perfect fit for this fixture - Town's Academy Manager Mark Lillis who played for both clubs. Read Mark's memory in the club's newsletter

We were delighted to make contact with Karen Gill, Chair of the Liverpool FC Supporters Club and Patron of the Spirit of Shankly. Karen has shared a memory of her grandad's time managing the club in the 1950's when amongst his playing staff was a 16 year old Denis Law.
