Sporting memories are made of this for Musselburgh pupils

Schoolchildren in Musselburgh have been quick out of the blocks to safeguard the legacy of last year's Commonweath Games.

A group of P6/7 pupils at Pinkie St Peter's Primary school recently completed a major project focusing on memories of the Glasgow Games.

Supported by the BIG Lottery "Celebrate" fund, it also saw pupils working with other organisations to research and document the history of the games.

The Sporting Memories Network - who support isolated older people with an interest in sport - were involved in the project, along with Stirling University, which looks after the Commonwealth Games archive.
